Reports to: Head Brewer
The shift brewer/cellar technician at Steel Bender Brewyard will assist the Head brewer in producing beer of the highest quality consistently. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in cellar, maintenance and QC/Laboratory operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete brewing process in a safe, consistent and efficient manner
Monitor gravities, temperatures, and carbonations daily
Monitor, pitch, evaluate, and document yeast as needed
Participate in and assist with quality control and laboratory procedures to ensure production of high-quality beer
Complete all process documentation completely and accurately
Perform CIPs, transfers, and use of the lenticular filters
Represent SBB at beer festivals and other beer-related events
Work with the Head Brewer to ensure our product meets our standards of the highest quality and consistency
Maintain the cleanliness of all areas in the brewery by following cleaning schedules and SOPs
Maintain a safe work environment and participate regularly in safety training
Utilize Slack, 7Shifts, and other designated group communication tools to facilitate efficient communication across the entire production team and wider organization
Assist in the implementation and improvement of SOPs to meet quality and consistency specifications
Forklift and pallet jack operation for warehousing
Forklift operation for loading and unloading freight trucks
Assist Warehouse Technician in building orders for taproom and distributor
Compensation
This is a full time hourly position. Compensation will be dependent on experience.
90 day probationary period
Potential increase after conclusion of probationary period

Reports to: Head Brewer
The cellar/packaging technician is responsible for processing and packaging quality beer in a timely manner following established procedures to meet the production goals of the brewery. The person in this role will be responsible for packaging and cellar operations to produce a variety of beer styles whilst following company process, quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently conduct cellar and canning line processes
Participate in basic brewery equipment maintenance as needed
Monitor gravities, temperatures, and carbonations daily
Perform cleaning procedures on all equipment to ensure sanitary conditions in the brewery, and the production of beer free of contamination
Accurate fermentation monitoring to enable tracking of fermentation progress
Yeast harvesting
Perform CIPs, transfers, and use of the lenticular filters
Canning line operation assistance
Keg washing and filling
Participate in, and assist as necessary with, quality control and laboratory procedures to ensure production of high-quality beer.
Maintain a safe work environment and participate regularly in safety training
Utilize Slack, 7Shifts and other designated group communication tools to facilitate efficient communication across the entire production team and wider organization
Assist with draft system maintenance at the tap room
Forklift and pallet jack operation for warehousing
Forklift operation for loading and unloading freight trucks
Assist Distribution department with pickups, deliveries and hot shots
Assist Warehouse Technician in building orders for taproom and distributor
Must be available to work a weekend shift
Compensation:
This is a full time hourly position. Compensation dependent on experience
90 day probationary period
